Update1) Recycling BinsIt has been a long time since i posted about this. Our bins were nice but they collected more food than bottles.
Styrofoam boxes that contain food thrown into the bin AT 8AMAt the end of the day, the boxes were piled up with Styrofoam boxes. I suspect the cleaners throw the content and the box away as i could not find it at the end of the day.
Lessons to be learned- place a lid over the bin such that only bottles can go through
- put picture of bottles such that people understand what the bin is for at a glance
- do not use a black trash bag to contain the bottles
- Ensure there is or build rubbish bins beside the recycling bin
Consolation: at least we helped ease the rubbish problem on the first day of P4 math carnival.
